The HDB_DBCC_SLFMON event is used in SAP to perform a series of self-monitoring checks. The self-monitoring functions help you to identify and resolve issues related to configuration that may prevent DBA Cockpit from running properly.
Potential Use Cases
This event could be used in the following scenarios:
Identify database connection failures.
Validate availability of the statistics server.
See if the HANA DB license has expired.
The event will look like this in Splunk:
Execute the dbacockpit transaction in the system. Open the Diagnostics folder and double-click on “Self-Monitoring”. The data on the right side of the screen will match the data that is extracted and sent to Splunk.
