KB 138 (ABAP): CDPOS extractor does not collect Change documents for Business Partners (BUPA*)

Description

BUPA* change documents are not collected by CDPOS extractor after they are maintained in Change Documents filter (Administrator->Metric Filters->Change doc. filter).

Events still could be extracted for wide time range using Goto->Test Metrics functionality.

The problem occurs in systems where System Time Zone is not ‘UTC’.

Cause

The root cause of the problem is the way how the change pointer time is defined during change document save. Most of change pointers are saved in system timezone, however BUPA* object related documents are saved in UTC (see SAP Note 1596509).

Resolution

In order handle such cases, it is possible to define the timezone for specific Change document objects. Please follow steps below to perform the setup:

1. Find the BUPA* objects in your Change Documents filter (Administrator->Metric Filters->Change doc. filter).

2. Define ‘UTC’ in Timezone column (without quotes):
   

   

3. Save the dialog.
