Description
On Splunk Cloud Classic experience, tenant administrators holding the sc_admin role are unable to access the 8.5.2 app setup due to a failed role check that indicates the user is missing the “edit_token_http” capability.
Cause
Changes to sc_admin role capabilities in the Splunk Cloud Classic experience have removed the edit_token_http capability from the sc_admin role.
Resolution
Please update to 8.5.3, which has removed the role check altogether. Please ensure you run the setup with an sc_admin role in Splunk Cloud Classic.
