Data Description

The ST06_TOP_CPU event is used in SAP to view the top CPU processes run on the application server.

Potential Use Cases

This event could be used in the following scenarios:

• Identify CPU processes utilizing a large amount of memory.

• Alert on CPU process runtime.

The event will look like this in Splunk:

SAP Navigation

Execute the ST06 transaction and select the application server of interest on the left side of the screen. Double-click on Top 40 CPU processes. The information on the right side of the screen will match the data that is extracted and sent to Splunk.
