Resolution

Obsolete Extractor Added to PowerConnect Configuration During BC Set Activation

During the BC set activation process, we have seen an obsolete version of the table reader extractor added to the PowerConnect administrative console when customers have performed an upgrade. This issue causes short dumps in the system where the application is installed.

  • Confirm with the PowerConnect team via support incident that the short dumps are being caused by the obsolete table reader extractor being added during the BC Set activation process by attaching the PowerConnect troubleshooting logs (reference KB 97 - Troubleshooting Information) to a support incident.

  • Once the issue has been confirmed, reference KB 118 - Remove PowerConnect Extractor, which outlines how to remove the obsolete extractor from the PowerConnect administrative console.
