  • Added support for replication of Setup Page in the distributed environment

Known Issues

  • In Splunk 8.2.X, the Basis Health Checks Dashboard does not feature language translation. The dashboard is rendered using Splunk Dashboard Studio, which does not currently support language translation. Dashboards created using Splunk’s classic (XML) dashboard engine can use this feature.

  • Search Head Cluster replication in a distributed Splunk environment does not support the PowerConnect setup page. The setup must be done through the page on each search head. This is a known Splunk issue; see KB-144 for more information.

  • If you experience error “[subsearch]: Search auto-finalized after time limit (60 seconds) reached,” add the below stanza to $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/BNW-app-powerconnect/local/limits.conf. Create the file if it does not exist.

  • Splunk Cloud blocks certain commands by default if they pose a potential security risk. If you see a popup for this when making use of the SAP PowerConnect for Splunk app, please click “Run Query Anyway” to accept the risk. See KB-145 for more information.

  • Splunk 8.2.5 experiences a custom Javascript issue with the following error message: “A custom JavaScript error caused an issue loading your dashboard. See the developer console for more details. See KB-147 for more information.

  • Unexpected error “” from python handler: “[HTTP 400] Bad Request; [{'type': ‘ERROR’,
    ‘code’; None, 'text': ‘ is required if email action is enabled'}]" See
    splunkd.log/python.log for more detalls.

    • We will fix this issue in the 7.0.0 release.
